Stoddarts is proud to celebrate Chairman Jon Stoddart, who was awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Brisbane Lord Mayor’s Business Awards.

The award recognises individuals who have made an extraordinary and lasting contribution to business, industry and the broader Brisbane community. It is one of the highest honours presented through the awards program and has only been awarded to a select number of business leaders.

Founded in 1959 by Tom Stoddart and Albert Stoddart, the business began as a steel fabrication manufacturer specialising in hot water systems and steel bathroom fittings. Over the decades, the company evolved into one of Australia’s leading building products and installation businesses.

Under Jon Stoddart’s leadership, Stoddart Group entered a new era of growth and transformation. With a strong focus on innovation, service and long-term industry partnerships, the business expanded into residential building products and pioneered an integrated supply and install model that continues to differentiate the company today.

For more than 45 years, Jon has played a central role in shaping the company’s direction, culture and vision, helping position Stoddart Group as a trusted national partner to Australia’s residential construction industry.

Today, Stoddart Group employs more than 500 team members and works with over 2,000 subcontractors nationally. With almost 30 branches across Australia, the business services more than 30,000 new homes each year, representing approximately one quarter of all new homes built nationally.

Accepting the award, Jon acknowledged the people behind the company’s success.
